Re: Rememberence
There has been a special place created for you and your dear friend Jarrod who OD 3 days after you passed....In Laguna Niguel, there is a path off Rancho Niguel leading toward La Paz....This is the very path you walked to go fishing at the Laguna Niguel Regional Lake. Off the beaten path, is a tribute to you....I visit it daily and pray that your soul is at rest and God gives you light and peace...You keep telling me how unbelievable it is in heaven and I believe you....xoxo

Re: Inspiration
Chase... I didn't know you too well, but I keep the card from your funeral with your picture of you holding that nice bass posted up behind my desk. When ever I feel weak or that my life is tough, I remember you and your struggle, and the positive attitude that you kept throughout. I only hope to affect people positively like you, and I am a stronger better person because of you and what you shared with me the few times we did talk. Thanks for being a huge inspiration for me in my life!

Re: Thinking of You
Dear Chase, Not a day goes by that I don't see your freckled face in your picture in our kitchen. Hoping that you are happy - I spent some time with some friends out in Dana the other day and we were lucky to see a whale breech right in front of us. I immediately thought of you and how you would have loved it. We think of you fondly always. Listen for us Chase - we are still out here talking to you. Love Beth and the Skakuns

Re: Thinking of you
Kim, we think and pray for you all often. Chase was such a wonderful young man and so full of life. We went to Kansas a few weeks ago to participate in Relay for Life with my family. We honored Chase and had a beautiful Luminaria bag for him. This was my first year walking as a survivor, it was a very emotional 24 hours. We raised $110,000 to find a cure. Much love and blessings to you and your family.

Kim, We came back 3/6 for our son's 4th port infection since it was put in 11/6/09. 2 months since we were here & when we got to the 3rd floor I had sadness due 2 the fact that I saw what all of you went thru as Chase passed away & the fact my baby was going to have surgery. On 3/9 his port got removed & that night I had my meltdown as I counted 11 needle poke sticks for his i.v. during his surgery & for what Chase had to endure since he was diagnosed & the other kids here at Choc.

Re: Chasey prayer update
Last Sunday Jeff said a prayer outloud during our Church's "Prayer of the People" moment in honor of your family. I lost it with the tears, then a thought of chewing gum came and it to comforted me. Just after church, we went to the supermarket, all of sudden my son comes in to remind me to buy milk, and then out of nowhere, he puts down a pack of gum with my few items (keep in mind, he never asks for gum). Thank you Chasey, I got the message. The Brannon's

Thank you and Chase for making his story public. I was told in June 2008 that I needed a stem cell transplant to treat a recurrence of lymphoma. While in preparatory chemo treatments, I read his story in the LA Times. I was scared, but also inspired that if he had been through it, I could, too. I was deeply saddened to read of Chase's passing. What a brave, wonderful boy and what an extraordinary family.

Re: Amazing Chase
Kim - There are no words...NO words to express my sorrow and sympathy upon reading of the death of your son. I have been following his/your journey from Chicago for quite some time. He was simply amazing....such courage. I could feel his strength and determination in your words. Gone too soon. Now, the journey is yours.

Re: Chase
My heart breaks for you...so many people were affected by you and Chase, and your sweet family. Fred & I saw Chase (& his brother?) at Cheesecake Factory on Saturday night. We went into the bar to say hello, but they were already out the door. What a handsome man he had become. I know you are a proud mom. Our love & heartfelt prayers to all of you.

Re: love & Faith
I have covered this page word for word and I am speechless. Your journey for the past 7 years has been one of such courage. I met Chase only once & emember him being so charming. What a miracle child, so strong & determined to continue to fight. I am in the HOLY LAND now, about to go to sleep. Before I close my eyes I am going to pray for you all, for your strength to continue and for Chase - your beautiful miracle child. May God bless you all today and forevermore Maxine Simon

Re: roulette 20
Kim- we are in Tahoe-me, Scott, my parents, and girls in tow! Played roulette and put some down on 20- for Chase- did not hit it big but played on my meager monies for quite a while that evening. Took that a good sign:) Thought of you again- as I do when this happens- Sydney saw a momma nursing and said "Mommy-look "boobie snacks"." Love that term of yours!! xoxo am
